Gawa's SECONDARY OBJECTIVES

We are realistic, and as such recognise that our core objectives are long-term. Thus we have carefully considered how we should implement a durable strategy with a clear and unyielding eye on what is achievable and sustainable.

For this reason we have specifically chosen to engage and partner with Corporate/Business Namibia.

In order to affect a change in attitudes and behaviour of our nation, logic dictates that we begin with employers, banks and financial Institutions, the ever-growing SME market, large corporates, manufacturers, Government ministries, parastatals, service providers, and so forth.

It is here that the Namibian workers spend most of their time and, as a consequence, it is their employers who MUST be an agent and a strong instigator of transformation within the environmentalist arena, as it is within these very workplaces that new devotees will be born.

Our national workforce will be the first to have the opportunity to make a difference, to feel a difference, and to eventually become the difference – eventually also outside of their work environment.

In order to achieve our objectives we recognise that we cannot afford, nor rely, on targeting the individual. Our secondary goal, therefore, is to target the collective via their places of employment, by offering a means of seamlessly integrating recycling into their everyday activities.

We will also provide Namibian businesses with expertise in terms o f carbon footprint audits, and assistance to develop and implement carbon footprint reduction strategies based upon audit results and continued evaluation.

Corporate Namibia is in a unique position to perform a paradigm shift: to make the country in which they operate a better one for the next generation, to educate their employees and to make Namibia a world leader in the Global Environmental Arena.
