GREEN TOWNS NAMIBIA is an on the ground action campaign, a reality television show & a documentary film for theatrical distribution; bringing ‘11th Hour Action’ to Africa.
We are living in a time when Africa is being confronted with significant challenges – the life-support systems of the continent are deteriorating, resources are becoming scarce; the stresses of uncertainty and rapid change are moving many of the 53 nations into the process of transformation. Many of the solutions to Africa’s problems are known to us; however, so far have not been fully explored or employed. Why is this?
From the perspective of the creators of the film, ‘Leonardo DiCaprio’s The 11th Hour’. the solutions rest within the human spirit and that the healing of Mother Africa is the task of our time. GREEN TOWNS NAMIBIA is the first of a series of programs in Africa combining sustainable action and media documentation. In partnership with the government of Namibia and the BBC, our team will provide education, consultation, energy audits, solar evaluation, recycling programs and other hands-on-support to transform African Towns, one town at a time. GREEN TOWNS NAMIBIA will be a resource, a support center, a film documentary or reality television show, web portal and social action campaign that follows real change, on the ground.
